Ann Riehl Smith

Ann began her equine adventure at ten, raising a few ponies and learning about horses in the local 4-H program. She relocated to Arizona from upstate New York to assume a position at Oasis Arabians where she served as manager for 20 years. Ann has been groomed as a rider and trainer by some of the best in the Arabian horse world. At Oasis Arabians Ann was mentored by facility owner, Dr. Allan Clemenger, in the areas of breeding, foaling, showing. Ann has a legacy of showing in Western, English and Dressage. The highlight of her illustrious career was showing Oasis’s Stallion Vooo Doo at the Egyptian Event. Upon Dr. Clemenger selling Oasis, Ann began her journey as an entrepreneur by building her own facility with the remaining Oasis clients. This journey blossomed into the business she named Future Hope Equestrian. Ann’s specialty as a trainer is teaching beginning and intermediate riders the fundamentals and enjoyment of riding. Working with young riders her true passion be it in the arena or on the trail.
